COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this course participants will examine the practice of cultural policing in school settings and its relationship to involvement in the school-to-confinement pipeline. Participants explore factors placing students at risk for involvement in remedial and punitive programs. Finally, participants explore strategies to improve student self-advocacy and equip educational stakeholders with strategies to disrupt the school-to-confinement pipeline. 0.15 ASHA CEUs
